A first visit to EHPAD in April

IsHelp organizes visits to retirement homes, hospitals and shelters to combat isolation among the elderly and disabled. On the agenda: elementary computer courses, board games, manual activities and discussions.

On April 4, we paid our first visit to seniors at the Repotel EHPAD (a nursing home) in Issy les Moulineaux, accompanied by members of Transaharienne and volunteer Isépiens. Through smiles, advices and good humor, these outings enable us to maintain the all-important link between our seniors and the outside world, which had been greatly weakened since COVID-19.

We offered them a computer course so that they could contact their loved ones much more easily. We also discovered our artistic side with a painting workshop and board games. The inter-generational exchange of knowledge is very rich, and it was a very touching moment for everyone.
