The Solidarity Week tradition continues in 2024
All the ingredients were there once again, from the Christmas Party to the Solidarity Raclette and the gift distribution marauding.
Together, our students bring help and comfort to those who need it most. Take part in our mission by supporting our charity initiatives.
Since 2018, our mission has been to make volunteering accessible to ISEP students by offering them impactful solidarity actions to help people in need.
With several projects launched we are always open to suggestions from our students. New projects are added to IsHelp's main missions as the years go by, driven by the interests of the club's members.
Every Wednesday evening, volunteers from Isep get together to distribute food, hot drinks and basic necessities to the less fortunate. This is also an opportunity to chat with them. These outreach activities are also open to participants from outside Isep!
The concept is simple: get together at one of our homes to prepare large quantities of a simple and hot meal. We can then distribute it on the streets to those in need.
IsHelp offers visits to nursing homes, hospitals and retirement homes, to prevent the isolation of elderly or disabled people. On the agenda: basic computer courses, board games, manual activities and discussions.
In conjunction with Le Temps des Cerises, a non-profit organization in Issy-les-Moulineaux, IsHelp members assist staff members in teaching children. Programming workshops, introduction to computer security and manual activities are provided for children of all ages.
IsHelp offers students the opportunity to donate their blood. The blood is collected with the utmost care by doctors from EFS (Établissement Français du Sang). 1 million patients are treated every year thanks to the voluntary donations of generous citizens.
Several times a year, IsHelp offers free spots for Isépiens to take the PSC1 exam (basic first-aid training) at one of the many French Civil Protection branches.
In partnership with ACPI, we participate in cultural excursions organized for refugees, immigrants and asylum seekers. The aim is to introduce them to French culture and language, to help them settle in.
The "Ordre de Malte" association has rehabilitated a barge into an emergency shelter. IsHelp and its students come to lend a hand, serving meals and playing games with people on the road to reinsertion.
IsHelp's aim is to provide foster homes with school supplies and activity equipment to help ease the expenses of those facilities.
Find out in this video how an early evening outing with IsHelp goes. During the marauding, we distribute food to the homeless, as well as basic necessities such as hygiene products (intimate protection, toothpaste, soap...) or clothing collected from students.
